Boards and Committees

2009/10 Board of Directors:  Belmont Aquatic Team is a coach-run, parent administered team.  The Board works closely with the Head Coach to administer policies set by the Head Coach and Team Coaches.  The Board meets monthly and minutes of these meetings are distributed to the team.  Please be sure to read the minutes as this is the main communication about the team status for families.  Parents are strongly encouraged to attend board meetings – meeting dates will be sent out in advance for anyone interested in attending.

Parent Committees

Parent Volunteer Committees:  In addition to the BAT Hosted Meet Volunteer Positions (refer to BAT Hosted Meet section of Handbook), there are other opportunities to help out the team throughout the year.  If you are interested in volunteering for any of these positions, please contact any member of the board.

• BAT Hosted Meet Volunteer Coordinator(s):  2-3 volunteers are needed to coordinate the volunteer schedule for the annual BAT Hosted Meet in January.  Responsibilities include communication to the team about volunteer positions; maintain volunteer schedule prior to the meet; ensure that all volunteer slots are filled at the event.
• Web Site Communications:  1 volunteer with web technology experience is needed to update/upload information to the BAT website on a continuous basis.
• Belmont High School Liaison:  1 volunteer is needed to act as a liaison with the Belmont High School for all BAT needs, i.e. practice schedules, etc.
• Birthday Bash:  1-2 volunteers are needed to coordinate monthly Birthday Bash program.  Swimmers’ birthdays are celebrated after Friday practice monthly.  Coordinator provides cupcakes and drinks each month throughout the year.
