· Equipment Fitting 6pm Thursday October 16^th 2008 After Practice. This when swimmers need to order their competition suits and required practice items of fins. I will also have complementary t-shirts for those new swimmers.

• Web Ordering For Other Items With BAT Logo October 16^th –October 23^rd .   Swimmers can order backpacks, shorts, sweatshirts, and fleece via the web (see below for details). These are not required attire, but available for those who want to some apparel with the BAT logo. Note ordering is only from October 16^th  -October 23^rd.

Thursday October 16^th Equipment Fitting at BHS Pool After Practice.

Varsity Swim Shop, a local vendor of team equipment, will be providing our team suit, caps and other apparel for the upcoming Short Course season.  Varsity Swim offers all BAT families a 10% discount when shopping at their North Reading store, just mention you are with BATS.

Equipment Fitting Schedule:  A Varsity Swim representative will be at the BHS pool on Thursday October 16^th for sizing, selection and payment after practice. If you cannot make the fitting, we will have a sizing kit available at the pool to get your children’s size but only for one week after the fitting. To make the imprinting process smooth and error free, it is very important that we get all size and quantity information before they start imprinting.  Because our apparel will be imprinted with the BAT logo, your suit will be delivered within 3 weeks after the fitting.

Mandatory Items:  All these items are available for purchase at the fitting. The required items that need to be ordered at this fitting are:

• a team suit to be used only at meets. Girl’s suits will have thick and a thin strap option. The girls suits are Speedo Quantum Splice black/sapphire (thick strap) Axcel Splice black/sapphire (thin strap) and Speedo Quantum Splice black/sapphire Jammer for the boys. Speedo has youth sizes as well which should provide a good fit. All swimmers need to have matching suits, so if you have an existing BAT competition suit purchased prior to last season’s long course, you will need a new one. The suits we are using are the same as the ones used for the last Long Course.

• fins for all swimmers (Speedo Optimus Training 753006)

Payment Information:  Varsity will accept Cash, Check, or Credit Card at the fitting. For those who can not make the fitting, we will aggregate the straggler orders to Varsity October 23^rd   and payment will be by check for these orders.

Required Outfits For Meets: Our goal is that all swimmers should be in attire branded with the team logo at all meets to show professionalism and team unity. We will be requiring swimmers to wear swim caps with the team logo, a shirt or other top with the team logo, and the team racing swimsuit, at all meets. Each new swimmer gets a complimentary free long or short sleeve t-shirt. I will bring such to October 16^th fitting as well.

Practice Suits: Swimmer’s preference. Such can be purchased from Varsity Swim. Varsity will bring some practice suits to the fitting for purchase.

Optional Apparel with BAT Logo Available For Ordering Via the Web Only From October 16^th – October 23^rd

Optional apparel with the BAT logo listed below will be available via ordering on the web starting Thursday October 16, 2008.  Only orders received on or prior to October 23, 2008 will be accepted. The ordering will close midnight October 23^rd, 2008 and there will be no exceptions. Here’s how to order:
